Sympower’s CEO Simon and his colleague Georg come up with the idea to start their own business during the Sustainable Energy Futures Master’s Program at Imperial College London.

An entrepreneurship module inspired many (unrealistic) business ideas. The start of the company got postponed, yet not called off.

Simon and Georg decided to move to Estonia.

Sympower was always destined to become international: the founding duo collectively either lived in or came from Estonia, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and France.

Sympower is chosen to attend the ClimateLaunchpad Bootcamp in Estonia. Sympower wins the ClimateLaunchpad competition in Estonia!

Sympower extends its activities across Europe. 

Sympower moves its headquarters to Amsterdam after being selected to join the Rockstart Smart Energy Accelerator program.

Sympower raises €1 million from the investment firm Enfuro Ventures and Angel Investors. The raised capital further founds Sympower’s international expansion and scaling-up the business.

Sympower saves 72.350 tones of CO2 in 2020.
